2017

2016

Every now and then we have sermons that don't fit into one of our series. We've grouped them together in this series to make things easier to find.

Sermons from our harvest thanksgiving services in September 2017.

On a clear night the sky is full of stars. Each is twinkling away and shining its light. During the day, however, the same sky is dominated by the light of only one star.

There is only one star that shines in the book of Colossians: The Lord Jesus Christ. He is the message of good news, the Son of God, the Saviour, the hope, the power, the transformer, the head of the church, the giver of life, the liberator, the motivator, the helper… The life with meaning, purpose and true lasting joy is a life all about Jesus.

As we look at this book we will be reminded and encouraged to worship, follow and speak about the Lord Jesus in our lives.

The book of psalms is the song book of the Bible. Some are joyful and some are sad, some are filled with hope and others are cries of despair. This series contains various sermons preached on different Psalms by our Pastor, Paul Kosciecha.

A church should be so much more than a group of people thrown together by time and circumstances. It should be a community experiencing the activity of God and working together for the glory of his name.

The book of Nehemiah tells us about the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the people of Israel return from exile. It charts a course from a nation in trouble and disgrace to a nation walking once more with God.

As we look at this book we learn many lessons that apply to us today as we seek to be a thriving church in the 21st Century.

This series contains messages from our Christmas services in 2015.

The book of Revelation is a message from God that will benefit people of every generation. It is not just a book about a time to come, although it certainly makes us look forward, it is a book about Jesus and God's sovereign plan that is being worked out day by day.

In this series we look to God seated on the throne of the universe and hear his voice today as he shows us more of Christ, the King of Kings.

This series contains messages from our Church Anniversary weekend in 2015.

This series conatins sermons preached at our All Age Family Services.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not a way of life, it is the good news of Jesus who died for our sin and rose for our justification. Yet, those who trust in Jesus are called to live in the light of the gospel.

This is what brings us to the book of 1 Corinthians. For here we find a church that are saved through the gospel, but not living like it. What does God have to say to them and to us?

One writer said, 'Luke's carefully researched and "orderly account" of the life of Christ is one of the finest pieces of historical writing in all of ancient literature.' Yet, it is not the quality of writing that comes to the fore as you read it, but the quality of it's main character, Jesus Christ. On every page we see more of Jesus and are amazed, challenged and in awe of what we see.

All over the world there are millions of different clubs; groups of people who come together with a common interest. Is Lonlas Gospel Mission just another one of these? No, we’re a church. So what’s the difference?

That's the question we're looking at in this series.

Like many of the New Testament letters, 1 John was written to churches in trouble. The people had heard the gospel and put their trust in Jesus. Yet, now, they were being drawn away. False teachers had come telling them that what they had believed was wrong and the only way to have eternal life was to follow their teaching.

In this book John reminds us that the biblical Gospel is real. It is true, saving and life transforming.

Christmas is a busy time. We're all running around getting all the necessary things done. So why should we stop and think about Jesus. In this series we try to see Jesus in his place in God's great rescue plan to see that there is no event as important, significant or amazing as the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In this series we look at the prayer that Jesus taught in Matthew 6:9-13. It isn't long, but it is full of wise and deep counsel that will affect the way we pray.
Often neglected, the minor prophets have so much to teach us today. In this short series we are exploring 3 of these great books, Jonah, Micah and Nahum.
Suffering is always a relevant issue. It is something that forms a constant companion, in one way or another, from birth to the grave. It is also something that God tells us a lot about in his word. The purpose of this short series is to try and put together something of this teaching so that we can have a firmer understanding of God and suffering.

Lessons from 1 Timothy on what makes a healthy church.

Sermons preached at our Christmas services in 2011.

Advent was never intended as a run up to Christmas. The purpose was not a time to make sure we had purchased all our Christmas shopping, prepared all our Christmas food or written all our Christmas cards. The original reason for an advent season was to focus on the return of Jesus, a saviour who had come and will come again.

Over this advent time, Dec 4th - Dec 11th 2011, we will be looking at 3 passages that speak of the return of Jesus and thinking of the hope, joy and challenge of that event.

You might expect a letter from prison to be full of complaining, bitterness and self-pity. Not Paul's letter to the Philippians. Here is a letter overflowing with the grace of Jesus, filled with the humility that comes from kneeling at the foot of the cross, and bubbling with the joy that only God can give.

These sermons take us through the book of Philippians seeking to bring us face to face with Jesus in such a way that we might be changed, become more like him and live in the incredible experience of the Joy of the Lord.
