John was our guest speaker for our harvest services in September 2011. Below is a brief introduction.

John was born in the USA, but has lived more than half of his life overseas, in the Philippines, Brazil, and for the last 18 years, right here in Cornwall. As a matter of fact, he and his family now hold British citizenship. In the early 80's, he and his wife, Tessa spent a year in ministry in Stoke-on-Trent, He has pastored in Looe and vicinity since 1987, serving with Grace Community Church since 1994.

John and Tessa have been married for 23 years, and have seven children. Their oldest, Bethany, now serves the Lord overseas with Youth With a Mission. John and Tessa have a great desire to encourage Christian family life, believing that a Christ-centered home is both a source of great joy, and a mighty weapon for good in these challenging days. You can download his dissertation here.

When not found in his study or making his "rounds" as a pastor, John can usually be found somewhere in a swimming pool.

Stuart Olyott (b. 1942) [his testimony] became pastor of Belvidere Road Church in Liverpool after training at London Bible College and receiving his first degree from the University of London. The Liverpool pastorates occupied the periods 1967 to 1982 and 1991 to 1999. The intervening years were spent preaching the gospel in French in Lausanne, Switzerland, and pioneering new churches in both France and Switzerland.
